@Lactomax: if you use the built in guest account feature of modern OS's (7, vista, OSX) they delete any content in the account when you log out of it.

@knightvash: yes, but that'll happen with any laptop recovery system, unless it uses a hardware chip. At least this method is free and gives you some chance of recovering your laptop.

Don't forget: if you have a main account that is password protected, setup a "guest" account so that the thief can turn it on, use it, and connect to a network so that Prey can do it's business.

@Ramsay101: you BOUGHT the lesser chip. you could've BOUGHT the "better" chip from the beginning, but you didn't. NOW Intel is saying that you can upgrade the "lesser" chip that you bought for $50. This is a huge benefit, as in the case of mobile processors, CPUs are often impossible to upgrade.

@Ramsay101: yes but you knowingly got the lesser product. are you saying people who go upgrade to new video cards because their old one is bad are being fleeced as well?
