Eight time crap is still crap, and it's still $12,500 for crap.

Thundercunts, HO!

Reverse engineer them in your favourite CAD format, export to STL, send to Shapeways.com, and you'll get them in the mail in a couple of weeks. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.

OMG... I just realized that TGUSA is an anagram of "gusta"! Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

190K miles (304K km) on a mid-80's vehicle with a French engine? Take out "Jeep" and it's a clear-cut case of crack pipe.

I hope they invite Simon back for another round of Star In A Reasonably Priced Car, for no other reason than to give Clarkson the chance to verbally abuse him for essentially eliminating a season of Top Gear.

If people can find cars to RACE in for $500, why would I spend MORE for a scooter? Thanks, I'll hunt for a beater instead. CP

I like it, but why are they using modern vehicles? I could see making a whole wall out of end-of-life junkers, but a fairly modern Land Cruiser? shakeshead.jpg

"...waited for local place to arrive..." ??

But hipsters don't need cars... they're propelled by the depth of the obscurity of their interests and inflated sense of individuality, aren't they?

There goes the market for used RAV4 EV's costing $50k. It will be very interesting to see how the market absorbs these 2600 units, and what it does to the price of the used ones already out there.

Maybe it simply won't work as a working vehicle, but for any large limo company this would be a great promotional vehicle (parades, public events) with the occasional use by someone who wants something "different" (prom, stag & doe, divorce celebration, AOTD, hat tip, etc.)

Interesting. But not interesting enough for $12k... unless I can develop a business plan and actually use this as a niche vehicle in the limo market. I would doubt my local municipality is large enough to support it, but any major metropolitan center would probably be able to do it. CP for personal use, possible NP

Amen to that! Preach it, brother!

Cricket, because then I'd understand at least ONE element of the game.

Hmmm... Esprit/Supra twins, you say? That could be nice... if they can cut some of the bulk out of the platform. The new Esprit is supposed to be 3500 lbs or so, is it not? That's... pretty hefty, ESPECIALLY for a Lotus.

3 feet of water? No problem. Not being able to see where the ditches on either side of the road are? BIG PROBLEM. Chill out and chat - sounds like he had the right idea.

I wasn't being serious - no way carbon will make it into the mainstream as the main structure anytime soon.

Carbon fibre body, turbo 4 motor? ;)

Maybe some turbo goodness courtesy of the RDX would help? One can dream…
