It took me a couple minutes to realize what was going on with the picture. When I noticed how the thumbtack was positioned I tried putting it in a drawer and it was valid! I just thought to myself “That’s REALLY strong ‘show don’t tell!’”

The diploma move was brilliant and really sold me on the game.

The following level, the picture of you together, where it’s allowed to go, and where the thumbtacks are placed if you put it on the board were such a wonderful bit of subtle storytelling.

It isn’t a completely accurate description though - they are actually environmentally destroying LINKS to JPGs. Like, you don’t even get the JPG. You get a receipt that says “I own a JPG in this spot” and then the server goes down.

Thank you for referring to NFTs as “environment-destroying JPEGs”.

To be honest I don’t really understand the facination with open-world games. Sure, there are some REALLY fun ones out there, but it also feels like it’s one of those words that makes people instantly froth at the mouth and slap the ‘masterpiece’ stamp on games instantly.

sounds like the talent agency just doesn’t want his character model ripped from the game files and used in SFM porn. this is understandable considering their business model.

Apparently, to some, skin color is enough to completely change a character.

How does his race change anything? Just want to hear your excuses

Some money got laundered.

There’s something truly wonderful about Sega’s older sound chips. They’re SO...CHUNKY. Always loved it when that bass kicks in. Thanks for sharing this, Mike!

It’s not so much about him as it is about a pattern of corporate behavior that suggests those who have real power within Acti/Blizz prefer a climate of fascism and authoritarianism. Hence, collecting a group of nefarious individuals (i.e. a former torture apologist being responsible for ‘compliance’ seems dubious)

Video games have gone through a few boom and bust cycles - starting off with hobbyists and enthusiasts who drive innovation, becoming more popular and therefor profitable, being taken over by corporate interests, then suffering some major setback which causes the corporations to seek profit elsewhere and leave the

A couple notes that I think this article really should have brought up:

A feeling? You do realize that someone buying a digital only console will only buy from Sony for the entire generation, and maybe to Sony that’s more valuable than $50 upfront?

PS5 release date: November 9th

take it from me who’s knee deep in her first yakuza 0 playthrough: yakuza is an amazing series and like a dragon will be good for new players to start with.

The VG24/7 article states the following:

Reports indicate it’s a 4-teraflop machine that uses the same CPU as in Series X, paired with a less powerful GPU and less RAM. It’s said to be designed for 1080p and 1440p gaming, whereas Series X can deliver 4K.

So, yeah, basically somewhere between a One S and a One X. This

Sort of? I’m actually thinking this is a cut down version of the upcoming Series X. I fully expect this thing actually be more powerful than the current top-of-the-line Xbox One X. It just won’t have an optical drive, maybe less onboard storage(counter-productive really), probably marketed more for gamers not ready

The bigger thing about TIE Fighter is that it showed you The Empire. Not the empire, not the cackling mad power-hungry evil dudes, but a bureaucracy in motion, that... does what it does because it has to keep the universe spinning.
