When your car makes that much power it’s no longer a “premium” tire. Just like Porsche guys don’t buy “premium” tires, they but the OE tires that fit the performance level of their cars.

I suppose if operating cost was your only metric you could try and shave a few dollars on longer lasting/lower performance rubber.

From my local taxi company “There’s no repair that’s more than 1 day or $1500 (on a Panther)“

They have spares on the shelf so they’re not waiting for rebuilds.

The mortgage is a bad comparison because most people are write off the interest payments.

The thing is the Tesla will net you big savings compared to an Mercedes E or S class. Instead of showing moderate savings they had to tap the Musk BS machine and now they’ve lost most of their audience.

It’s a very wide flair for the width of his tie knot, it can come off a bit whimsical or ill proportioned depending on a few parts of the suit.

People think he looks so good because they’ve never seen an italian suit and a tailor.

A slim body shape helps but the classic American business suit is a giant flappy bag even sized properly. Add a nice silk tie, Zegna or better and you’re set.

Can we kill the term truckster? It’s meaningless. It drives me absolutely ape.

But the carpet! Seriously go touch the carpet in a RR, anything this side of an antique Persian rug is not even close.

I was responding only to the soft touch switch wear. Read the post I responded to.

Instead of learning to pay attention and drive smoothly just buy a new car!

Joe Rocket stuff is good for entry level but the jump to kevlar stitching adds a big safety margin (seams are the things that split) and makes the garment much more durable.

I’m not a gear whore but I’ve learned for the track rats I ride with what holds up.

Check out Sport Bike Trackgear. They’re local to be but do a

To be fair it was a problem industry wide, not just for Nissan. Base VW’s through V12 e38's have the same issue. They sell replacement stickers which actually look fairly decent. Not as good as new but better than chipped/worn originals.

Not with standard encryption practices.

It’s worth the money on expensive gear, it lasts almost forever. I’ve had jackets and boots I’ve done almost 50k in over 10 years. Suddenly $350 boots are not so expensive, plus most the sliding bits are replaceable for tens of dollars if you actually go down so the whole boot is not junk.

Military boots are absolutely the WRONG thing to wear. You want to slide and dissipate the energy slowly. Big chunky soft rubber soles are going to break your ankles or worse.

Get a pair of real motorcycle boots, not the garbage Harley sells.

They make more cruiser friendly options.

Wow, did you have no load staging? If I was the driver I’d be quite unhappy.

My previous guess at pack capacity as incorrect. Apparently it’s only a 140 kWh pack. That’s a much more manageable charging current, however based on Tesla 100 kWh charge times I don’t how they’re charging that quickly.

For OE to OE shuttling maybe but I’m not going to be able to provide you a Megawatt to charge with. I simply don’t have the power available in a medium sized industrial facility. I suspect these have a 1MW to 500 kWh pack. To get there in 20 min you’ll need 5 MW to 2.5 MW+ input due to slower charging at towards the

If you’re in one of my dock for anything more than 15 min loading/unloading a full trailer I’m personally kicking your ass.
