Never mind Snoop or The Bride (both great characters), those ladies were fictional. A woman can most certainly exist in the GTA world! Case in point, Griselda "The Godmother" Blanco.

Cool stuff! Nice post Patricia!

Oh true indeed. I saw GG's last show (at The Gas Station) under threat of being hit with excrement and that only raised the excitement level.

Thank you. That's the Brooklyn that I know and love - not the one appropriated and commodified by outsiders wearing "defend Brooklyn" shirts.

Fortunately there are always enough foreigners to keep the cul-de-sac-ians from thinking Queens is cool.

Roman candle fights are my jam. And my black friends called them nigga-chasers too

Hustler diet will hold you down with a little left over to smoke a little something at the end of the night!

Gross. NYC is bursting at the seams with these kind of shitbags. Why would I spend money to waste two hours watching them, when I can stand on Ludlow Street and do it for free?

It has less to do with people wanting to mount rhino heads on their walls and more to do with people wanting to consume black-market animal parts because they think that the animal parts have medicinal properties.

Thank you. I was going to correct her but you did it first. While the rich western hunters are surely reprehensible, the majority of the consumers of black-market animal parts are certainly not westerners.

I kinda agree. I love baseball so much that I'll even watch the women's college softball WS. While it's amazing what these women can do with a softball, it's still not quite as mindblowing as a 100+ mph fastball from Aroldis Chapman.

That's a bingo!

HAHAHA Nice one. "everyone hates Alex Smith." - pretty much. And if there is a god, it hates Tony Romo.

I grew up in Flushing when the Jets played in Shea so most of my friends were Jets fans. I liked the G-Men because LT and Parcells were no joke. Also my pops is from The Bronx so The Giants were his team.

If you thank god that you're saved from disaster, is it ok to blame he/she/it for causing the tornado in the first place?

Many NY area sports fans traditionally follow these lines due to where the teams used to play:

Ironically she's one of the few people that got the theme of the event

Yeah, I'm happy to say I know nothing of this world where men want virgins and women are ashamed to get laid. As a big 'ol slut myself, I've always gone after the sluttiest sluts that I could slut around with. Fortunately, I was able to find my wonderful slut of a wife to spend the rest of my days being a slut with.

I still dig Iggy but that commercial was simply grotesque - especially since I grew up going to CB's and still stings to think it's gone. I think there's a difference between softening up and selling out, so to speak. You can say a guy like Richard Hell or Greg Graffin softened up when they became college professors,

Yup. Much like John Varvatos taking over the old CBGB space and keeping it's punk aesthetics for the purpose of selling his shitty, over-priced clothing. Have you had the misfortune of catching that Chrysler ad with Varvatos and Iggy Pop? Don't. It'll hurt your heart.
