Valve is going 100% behind their linux box hardware. I would say thats a giant money pit that isnt going to pay off. It may have half life 3 on it, but it will not have any non valve games.

Valve is basically going to lock out the rest of gaming, because no one is going linux. The valve box will only run linux games, for which there will be little to none.

no thats just it, valve's hardware using linux, and linux games... is basically valves way of trying to alienate themselves from the rest of gaming, and that is just not going to work out well.
