Windows 8 is phenomenal. Its faster, smoother and it has succesfully merged mobile and the desktop. Its a remarkable OS on a technical level. One more thing, when you're split screen with desktop and an open app.. you can drag down on that app from the top of the screen to the bottom to close it, and your desktop becomes full screen again.
