I posit that a dildo fight as a setpiece is exactly what the Academy needs.

You though The Mist was terrible? Damn. It’s a great horror movie. Especially for a high budget movie where Darabont made the bleakest ending possible (that isn’t in the book, that has a fairly happy ending) and fought to keep it.
Seriously, my thoughts exactly.
Right? Came here to say this. I genuinely feel like I’m watching a different show than the author. And also, glad I wound up watching the episode “live” and not waiting until this morning and seeing this headline. I’d spend the whole episode wondering how they did Tess dirty instead of just enjoying this phenomenal…
Removing the spores for tendrils is an amazing idea, because even in the game, spores being isolated to one area is 100% absolutely stupid. They would stay on your clothes once you leave the spore area. And I hate to break it to you, more than the video game audience is watching this, and HBO needs more than just us…
Tess is a few things in the game, but dynamic is not one of them.
Where in the PlayStation games she was a confident, dynamic character, HBO makes Tess an example
Rye, which is pretty closely related to wheat, is actually a plant well known for being prone to harboring ergot fungi. If unnoticed and processed into flour it can lead to a real kind of poisoning known as ergotism after ingestion over time. (It’s not really a fungal infection, more like poisoning due to the…
Never trust a Zippo to work when you need it most. I have been using Zippos for 30 years and I can attest to that.
believe me, as a Queer person, you know and are panicking that you are Queer long before 14, and it’s a lot more than who you are attracted to. It’s a big part of her character.
Doesn’t seem to be much circling tables excessively and doubling back on empty shelves in case they come across random screws or pills. Starting to doubt their commitment to the source material.
On the one hand, yeah, it’s a bit less believable that the fungus wouldn’t be spreading spores all over the place, given the real-world knowledge of how fungi work. On the other hand, if that were the case, it would be less believable that any humans survived the outbreak, much less the amount of people in the QZ. I…
great episode, aside from the opening 30 minutes of episode one, I wasn’t hooked last episode. this did it for me.
“[Host] proves to be charmingly game / up for anything, but the writing lets them down” has got to be the most revised and repurposed headline in the history of AV Club. It’s like having to review Water every week and finding a slightly different way to say “it’s wet.”
Honestly, their annual revenue would increase far more if they would just discount the game for the big sales. Companies don’t offer discounts for fun. They do it because it brings in more revenue. At a certain point, you’ve already sold the game to everyone willing to buy it at full price. Factorio has been out for…
This is a weirdly hateful article. You can describe what you like without sounding like a spiteful whiner.
TikTok is owned by a Chinese company (which is controlled by the Chinese government), collects biometric data on users, and Chinese admins have full access to all of that data. These are documented facts. It’s not racist against Asians to say that TikTok is spying on you.
I feel like this argument comes way too close to letting American social media off the hook for very similar and equally nefarious practices.
