I’m enjoying this season much more than I expected. The ‘shared universe’ world-building is just the kind of dumb fun I love from this show at its best. And Evan Peters hamming it up as March again was so worth it.

Arleen Sorkin is 62 years old and hasn’t worked since 2011. Probably pretty hard.

You’re conflating things to reach the low-hanging outrage, Hughes. I don’t know if C.K. should be allowed back after his old transgressions. And he falsely denied those transgressions until he was, ahem, exposed. He also appears to have quit sexual misconduct a decade ago. I’m receptive to the argument that C.K.

Reading the article it does seem that that’s what she meant, since her previous question did touch on having more female comics. I understand his confusion, though, since “safe space” is a term with a specific meaning and he’s probably been asked that question before in those terms, so he responded to what he thought

You should take the job and be our mole! Think of it as being a double agent, lying in wait until the perfect moment when ZAP! You bring the whole fucking thing down.

You can think about ethics when your money situation improves. Sticking to your values won’t put food on your table and you’re not being asked to go on TV and make announcements that would go against your ideals.

Every time I see the Obamas:

Good for him. God forbid individuals (in this case potential audience members) make their own decisions and own them. If you don’t feel comfortable not knowing who might show up, don’t go - it’s a simple fix. If you’re there and uncomfortable, walk out like the people did at Comedy Cellar. That’s much easier than

Shitty-but-funny men (and women) make up a very large percentage of all the people we find and have ever found funny. I don’t think comedy clubs should be ‘safe spaces’ either. I’m certainly not advocating for any one to whip their dicks out for people who do not want to see said dicks (and I’m sure Kimmel isn’t

I mean, it’s a standup comedy show, not a college course. It tends to be inherently somewhat transgressive, I don’t think it’s the right spot for the whole safe space thing.

Don’t know which I find harder to believe, the fact Telltale was run by a management so incompetent they’d think something like this is workable (a company hiring dozens of people already spread to the wind all of a sudden on contracts for a product they have no experience publishing nor even the rights for

Good luck with this. Last time I mentioned “death of the author” in relation to J.K. Rowling on Kotaku people thought I actually wanted to kill her.

He was also (and might still be) an incredibly talented recording artist and producer. If all you know is gold digger that’s a shame.

Yeah, but if Reynalds was a black woman????/? I bet Gyll’d be saying nothing about fitness as a father & husband then. Racist

I’m picturing Gyllenhaal reading this essay to a camera while wearing a short sleeved shirt with bug eyes and manic flop sweat and never blinking once. Then you see “Nightcrawler 2" flash and realize his character has gone from being a stringer to a paparazzi and is obsessed with Ryan Reynalds to the point where he’s

Same. Tho, my biggest issue with Overwatch is the garbage matchmaking that leads to damn near constant stomp-matches either way. And the way the community treats QP. And the fact the story has gone nowhere in two years with severe droughts of anything at all, reeking of overall mismanagement. But yeah, the constant

So let’s see, my top played characters in Overwatch were

Symmetra
Roadhog
Pharah
Reaper

Jesus christ, all they have to do is retool Reaper now and I won’t have anyone that plays like they used to.  I’ve adapted somewhat but given that the characters can undergo such radical changes on a whim (though some were needed) it

Lindsey Graham, like far too many politicians (of -all- stripes), nourishes himself primarily on the milk of hypocrisy; had President Obama’s appointee had to go through this (and Judge Garland was spared that indignity, thanks largely to the senior Senator from my birth state of Kentucky), you know Graham would

Some people mistake not being an ideologue for not having a viewpoint or a moral center.

This could be credibly read as an examination of how South Park’s “you’re an idiot for caring” attitude has influenced some of the worst aspects of modern culture. South Park has been reckoning with its own legacy since Season 19, and this makes it clear that the trend of self-examination isn’t going to stop.
