After a very long semester where my roommate hogged the bathroom all day (masturbating loudly), watched Family Guy all night (or Spongebob, Archer, FUCKING JOEL OLSTEEN), and tried to start a business where he would sell college books online (Yeah, he thought this would work) he decided to go out with a bang. He was

“I mentioned racism because racism motivated the botched frame-up.”

Melissa Click said “let’s get some muscle here” to Mark Schierbeck, not Tim Tai.

Origins had some fetch quests but for everyone of those there was something like the Hermit and the Talking Tree. It was also far shorter so the few fetch quests that were in the game didn’t stick out as much. Dragon Age 2 was max 20 hours and more than half of that time spent in-game involved the main quest or

You mean Krem, who’s sole purpose was to explain exactly what a being trans means and than is dropped as quickly as he is introduced. Truly the most token trans character I’ve ever seen. The best part is that you can get him killed and the game gives absolutely no shits unless you play the dlc.

I beat the game on nightmare (including all ten dragons) essentially soloing everything with my Knight Enchanter Vivienne. The game is beyond easy.

Fair point. I guess Hawke will give a pretty good breakdown of who the main villain is and the events that transpired in the Legacy LDC.

Actually, our opinions do not differ. I love Origins and think it’s a great game, but it is undeniably a reskin of KOTOR. It’s fair if you prefer it because of the characters or story but it is not doing absolutely anything new. Hell, even the characters and structuing of the story are exactly like KOTOR.

Inquisition’s story is pretty simple to understand (because it barely has one) but there are several important details that are brought up in the Legacy dlc for DA2 that are somewhat necessary for understanding certain elements of the game. Sure, you could look everything up online but I imagine that will be an

Err, Origins is a KOTOR in a medieval fantasy skin. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad game but it does absolutely nothing new which really doesn’t make it one of the best games of all time, imo.

Inquisition is a weird RPG. The game play is set up similar to Dragon Age 2 where the combat is supposed to be fast-paced, having very short encounters and minimal micromanaging. Inquisition is closer to an ARPG or some hack and slash game than Dragon Age: Origins which is a pretty traditional strategic RPG.

There’s really a minimal amount of engaging content in the game. The story is about 10-15 hours max while doing everything else (fetch quests, fighting higher-tier enemies, and dungeonesque missions) can drag for about 150-200 more hours. Only the companion quests and the main story really have dialogue or characters.

If I played over 50 hours+ there is usually something I liked up that made me continue to play. That doesn’t mean I won’t walk away disappointed with my total amount of time played. I put about 400hrs into Dragon Age: Inquisition and wound up rather underwhelmed with the game. My interest in the story and companions

It doesn’t need to be the ultimate video game, and it doesn’t even need to meet everyone’s expectations. It seems like about half of the people who have played the game enjoyed some aspects of it with another half of that really loving it. If it really is a niche game that’s fine. The issue is that the marketing and

I will agree that the companion quests were quite good (some were too short and others lacked proper resolutions without dlc e.g. Iron Bull). Banter between companions was probably the best part of the game.

I think it’s fair to love certain aspects of Prometheus. The set designs and special effects in the film are jaw-dropping and probably the best I’ve seen in a R rated film. I also find the characters Shaw and David to be quite interesting (and look forward to their return in Alien: Covenant). I also think it’s fair to

I know that Dragon Age doesn’t have one cohesive world. It does share many of the same qualities that other open world games have so I feel fine judging it as such. By your own logic GTA4 or Xenoblade Chronicles wouldn’t be open world games since large zones are initially locked out. Even The Witcher 3 wouldn’t be one

Fallout 3-4, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor, and other open-world games do have their fair share of fetch quests but they also have plenty of content filled with unique characters and story heavy side quests. Some also have emergent gameplay like Shadow of Mordor. For me, as long as your open-world doesn’t consist of

Dragon Age: Inquisition is just a really bad open-world example. Most open-world games aren’t usually filled with fetch quests and things like the war table.
