Every time I read "Facebook nnn millions of users" and that the figure gets closer to the billion, I cringe and dread the PR onslaught that'll bring. It's all the more annoying that the figure would be better described as "nnn million accounts, nnn million of which saw no activity in the last nn months", but I guess

This should either get you a star and a Comment Of The Day win - or get you banned for too-apposite deconstruction of a post blog :)

Oh, 128 wouldn't do (it's about the size of my music and photo collection.) I have a 256, but even this at times managed to feel cramped.

Exactly. I mean - if there is one thing that needn't even be intuitive because we've learned it when we were four, it's reading.

I tried to cross fingers and my music went backwards instead of forwards :)

I'm looking really hard at the screenshot of the music app and my phone's screen, trying to determine if that's the laziest redesign since the new "New Mini".

I wouldn't say no to 500Gb, but I can live without it. What does make me wonder, is why I couldn't get 8Gb only 9 months ago.

Indeed. The one thing that kept me from getting an Air earlier was the low-ish resolution and the non-backlit keyboard. The week the new, higher-than-MBP-resolution-and-backlit-MBAs came out, I bought one, and never looked back.

Why aren't you looking forward to changes? Are you one of 'em Luddites? :)

Well, I do find it easier to work around my iPhone than I do my GalaxyTab - whether this is because of an inherent simplicity of iOS rather than better training through more intensive use, I couldn't say.

I'm confused - the new, grand, awesome, revolutionary commenting system is supposed to be right around the corner, and it won't figure stars, but we're still handing proto-ones? Seems weird.

Yes - you're missing a proper whining tone. You're whining while not sounding like you are whining. That makes me whiny. Why whine while wizened wit will wither wisdom? :)

Aw, c'mon - misleading titles, much?

Finding these comments among the riff-raff is what hearting was meant for.

"Microsoft is doing more with touch than Apple. It's being more creative. Apple: don't lose your lead."

Ha, nice try, but you're not fooling me! This is actually a picture of Tibet if water rose 25,000 feet!

Giz should not republish stories from Gawker.

To be sure, as (I think) the Undercover Economist, reviews are inherently useless because you're judging a batch from a sample of one, which is statistically meaningless - but, yes, if even that one doesn't work...

It's a lens for real men. Others use quiche lenses.

Honestly, I understand the appeal of pancakes on m4/3s or NEXes, but even on a Rebel/Dx000, the size advantage isn't really that blinding.
