That could have been the sales line for the Fisker Karma? The too affordable part could have applied to the Cadillac ELR.

You still see quite a few of these on the road in the UK. Mind you most of them there will have diesel engines.
The Ferrari Dino V6. Only engine to win the F1 world Championship and the World Rally Championship (in the Lancia Stratos).
The Ferrari 599 ‘Alonso’ edition. Officially a celebration of Ferrari being in F1 for 60 years. They did two versions one in the livery of their first winning car and this the most recent at the time. This one is widely known as the Alonso. It’s basically a sticker job on a standard 599 for a silly premium.
F Type is the right answer (admittedly biased as I have one). The V6 or V6S version can be had for that money and a supercharger pulley conversion can be had to push either north of 400bhp (over 500 if you are brave and get an e85 tune). They also sound as good as the V8 and IMO the twin center exit exhaust looks…
It would not be the first time that otherwise unrelated Ferrari (or Ferrari based) engines have used the same bore and stroke. The 4.4 Daytona 60 degree V12 shares the same bore and stroke as the 3.0 90 degree V8 in the 308 and the 180 degree flat/V12 in the original 365bb. I’ve heard it is because although they make…
Nope the 296 uses a 120 degree V angle, the Nettuno (and the F154 in the Alfa) use a 90 degree angle.
At least it gave us a very cool looking limited edition Lotus Esprit Turbo
The old Granturismo used a cross plane crank version of the V8 from the Ferrari 430. The new ones V6 is allegedly all Maserati’s own however the basic block and a lot of the ancillaries seem to be very closely related to the V6 version of Ferrari’s F154 engine (V8 in the 488, Roma Portofino, V6 in the Alfa…
The hybrid system in the P1 is notoriously temperamental and is a six figure sum to replace if it bricks. Dunking one in sea water along with a an engine full of water and it would not surprise me if you’re looking at a $1/2 million repair bill just in mechanicals.
Infiniti M45? They can be found below $10k and the V8 should give enough performance to be fun?
Indeed my Dad had both an SC400 and an original LS400 when they were new in the 90's and really liked both of them (the LS more than the SC mainly because the latter was not as fun to drive as the looks suggested) and my step mother currently dailies an NX which she much prefers to the Audi Q3 and BMW X3 that preceded…
I get that back in the UK my wife worried that having the Iron Man poster signed by the writer (a college friend of hers) was ostentatious until I pointed out that we had a Ferrari in the garage which you can’t get much more ostentatious than that.
Is it is good enough to convince my wife to get over her hatred of all Lexus’. I have no idea why she hates them and she can’t really explain why but whenever I have floated the idea of getting one she says she hates them.
I know there is more chance of Charles Leclerc making up the points deficit and winning the 2022 F1 World drivers Championship, but I would love to see an Indycar double header with one of the North American F1 races sometime in the future?
I’m a bit of a Jag guy and this seems like a reasonable enough car that is NP enough to inspect at least. I do expect this to be not for everyone though.
I’m sure the decline of the convertible is as much to do with the decline of the two door cars they are usually based on as it is the rise of the EV. Hardly any manufacturers make two door versions of mainstream cars these days and as noted the likes of the Mustang/ Camaro are also in decline. It’s a harder business…
A couple of others; the 1st Gen Range Rover was sold alongside the P38 as the Range Rover Classic for a year or so in some markets. The base model of the 2nd Gen Renault Clio was sold alongside the 3rd gen for a while (I can’t remember the moniker they gave it but I think it was something to do with students?).
I’m curious about the Dark Horse branding and it this will be the top performance branding. Will there not be any Ford official Shelby variants for this generation?
Small yellow flag that the buyer would rather sell a car than get a $300 repair done first which could add $1,000 in value. Slightly bigger yellow flag for the misaligned front headlight, but still NP enough to be worth an inspection at least.
