This seems very like my in laws RV. Why do they all come in such awful colours schemes and graphics?

Ferrari 599 has plenty of room for a tall driver. You won’t find a manual at this price but it is possible to do a manual swap on an F1 box car. This should fit the bill. https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listing/ZFF60FCA2A0169456/?referrer_id=autotempest

I would have thought rebranding Honda’s Indycar engine programme as Acura would get more attention in the US than an F1 programme?

Same here, although in the UK at least the number of A3 saloon/ sedans I have seen probably means it sells better than Audi expected, or has eroded some A4 sales?

And if there are no Indycar option no doubt he will seek a WEC drive. Actually with all the manufacturers joining WEC in 2023 as a former Le Mans winner he would be a good choice to get signed up for that. The relatively small WEC calendar could also leave the option open for a part time Indycar drive as well?

Been around fast cars all my life and broadly agree with what you say. I think the challenge is finding a workable limit. a new Toyota Supra 3.0 with 380 hp will out drag a 20 year old Ferrari 575 with 520ish hp to 60mph, mainly due to advances in gearbox and traction control technology. Also how do you regulate the

Mario Andretti’s name yes. Michael Andretti’s not so much.

This except the 4X4 version

I thought it was the mixed jet /rocket powered NF104 used to train astronauts that could get to 100,000 feet, the standard aircraft was done at a still impressive 62,000ft.

Yeah pretty sure The Drive or some other site ran a very similar story in the last couple of years.

Morgan Pus 6, even with a modern chassis it is still an old school car

Off season means they are not racing, doesn’t mean they are not working. There will be one possibly two pre season tests in that period, plus the cars are in the build phase. I had a tour of the now defunct Arrows team factory many years ago, and apparently many thought the workload / hours in season was less than the

No doubt but I bet for the amount of money that it will cost it won’t be that much faster, and I also suspect that the same amount of money would buy a standard Testarossa and leave enough change left over for one of the new 296GTB’s which will blitz either of them in terms of performance.

The chassis gains and improvements in the systems will no doubt be welcome, but worth noting the power gains and weight reduction are compared with the original Testarossa which itself went through two evolutions to get to the F512M.

200-250 miles is plenty of range for a car, on the highway that’s probably 2-4 hours of driving. It is more a question of how easy it is to find a charging point and how quickly the car can charge up that is the question. When charging is as widely available as gas stations and cars can be recharged in 10 minutes it

The beige vinyl roof..

When my Dad lived in the States in the 90's he had one of these. He brought it in a ‘package deal’ with an FD RX7. No idea what it is worth today but sentimental NP.

Nitpicking does Bernd Maylander actually take the start though? He has attended a huge number of races but the safety car doesn’t actually take the start unless the race has been deemed to start under the safety car. It does a reconaissance lap before the race but doesn’t actually start it itself.

Base model Mercedes or BMW’s with the AMG line or M Sport package respectively. Looks like a monster super sedan doesn’t go like one. Probably worse here in Europe as the C class and 3 Series can be had with lower power engines still with the packages.

Article reminded me I owned one of these albeit an auto for 6 months many years ago. It was a nice car ut chopping the roof off doesn’t do much for the handling compared with the coupe version I had previously owned. Is it worth the money possibly due to the low mileage but probably would choose to send the money
