Can we be real about how crappy the 4L60 trans is in these, though? This is when all trucks started being shit. Chevy forgot how to make transmissions, and soon after Ford forgot how to make engines with the 5.4L 3-V.

Okay, but why dog on the lengthened Bolt even if it does lose 12 miles a charge? Anyone that buys this has reduced their fossil fuel consumption to zero. So that should mean it’s better than all the other cars on stilts / SUVs you hate on, right?  Why not write an article that actually encourages people to buy one of

Sure. This aint the 1950s, grandpa. 150k is kind of a sweet spot with price, maintenance, and KNOWN issues with each model. Wanted a beater truck last year and knew that 04 + F150s have bad engines and 99+ chevys have bad transmissions, so got a 2001 F150 at 145k, but i waited to find a nice granpap-owned example. I

Subarus. College and young adult me loved em, I owned a stack of them for about 10 years. “Look at me! I’m fun and outdoorsy and get great AWD mileage in a reliable car!” Nope. the 2.5 L EJ was cursed by the gods. Then Subaru forgot how to make a transmission, too. Now with snow tires they were incredibly good car for

Reverse: I know them Duke boys were never meaning no harm, but as a Union reenactor, I always wanted make a “General Grant, take a blue Charger, put a 36-star flag on the roof, a 65 on the door, and get a horn that played Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Instead of yet another set of angry eyes, Can someone please make happy eyes for a Jeep? I’m thinking half-circles on the bottom, like a smiling anime character. Jeeps are supposed to be fun, not angry, lol.

Nope, none of the 3-valve 5.4s are worth any money at all. Straight garbage oiling system that at first kills the cam phasers, then the engine. I’ve kept my 2001 F150 (2-valve 5.4) so long because of it. Skip to the 5.0 Coyote, friends.

A V8 VeeDub with flowmasters? This is going to be awesome.

Why not Rally one of your Smarts? You’ve got extras, lol.

40 miles to the gallon. zero to sixty, sometimes.

Huh. 1984 is a pretty decent year for cars, come to think of it. 1984 Countach has to be the #1 choice, who didn’t have a poster with that car on it? Realistically, I could probably afford to actually get a Datsun 280 ZX, IROC Z28, Fox bodies are neat, too. I’d even like a Crown Vic LTD boat mobile. Not bad, ‘84, not

That era of Japanese 2+2s are pretty dang fun, and are appreciating, especially in good, running, rust-reduced fashion, and especially the Celica Supra. Nice price, actually, Maybe after a little negotiation.

Never mind! Somehow missed your intro article. Nice collection

Alrighty, so you’re a German-car hoarder, which I can dig, but what’s with the bus in your bio? Do you have 72 childrens or will you share your camper build with us?

If you please, Mr. Tracy, will you tell us about the off-roading hot spots in Germany?

Range anxiety- I don’t see why the PHEV isn’t a more popular option. If I bought a Volt, I’d use batteries every day and only have to plug in twice a week. And when it’s time to visit my folks 200 miles away, no problem, little gas engine, no range anxiety. Actually I’d rather have a RAV4 prime, (or PHEV-150) but I

Seriously impressed with this truck, and I’ve always thought that an EV truck would be bomber offroading - a motor on each wheel should pretty much be the same as lockers all around. How about a Bronco-Wrangler sized EV too? I’ll never be able to buy a $60,000 electric truck, much less Moab it, but I’d sure like to

If I were building a bajillion dollar world record car, I’d probably shake loose with the $2,000 to rent a pilot, spotter plane, and camera operator for a couple hours. Heck, two! Then it’s just a matter of counting road stripes per second and math.

Tesla made EVs fast and cool, Hummer will make them bad ass, and EF-150 will make them practical/affordable/acceptable to us living in the sticks. Strong PHEVs with 40miles electric range will come first, but the winds are surely changing. Now, how about that nuclear power to charge it all?

Does Forza count?
