Danny Trejo is the father of every Hispanic character on TV.

They are pretty goofy.

Lovely to see Alice from The Magicians making a 2-second cameo as the “swinger”!

Funk Man’s rehearsal dinner apology was intentionally over the top. He was being sarcastic, and not, opening a vein. Larry and him riffing about how grandiose he was being was an episode highlight.

I agree, I thought the best two parts of the episode were sign language bullshit, and Susie kicking out the interpreter. Susie was all around awesome this season. And I think now that I know the sign for bullshit I can die happy.

One thing I loved about the Seinfeld Reunion season was that the reunion episode they were writing/reading/filming felt very real and fully thought out. It wasn’t just like “here are some fake lines for this fake show,” there were like 20-something minutes of legit material.

The rollout of the ‘distracting interpreter’ bit was exquisitely scripted.

Nobody’s credited with writing the songs in this episode but Justin Hurwitz who wrote the music for La La Land was an associate producer and writer this season and was credited with co-writing a few episodes including this one so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was one of his contributions.

I was impressed at how professional and realistic the “fake” musical seemed. One of my pet peeves is how unrealistically bad shows-within-shows are in most things. Fatwa! could be an actual musical.

And he’ll be back next week.

I haven’t had a problem with extended runtime Curb episodes, as the show has always had kind of a shaggy-dog vibe anyway. And in theory, I’m not necessarily opposed to longer run-times for any show.

Larry wrestling people in the final stretch of a foot race is the running gag that keeps on giving.

I love how they wrestled on the ground for about 7 seconds and then took their respective seats as if it was a totally normal thing to do.

I was legitimately surprised to see his picture on a newswire and then read it wasn’t because a bunch of allegations coming to light.

Well, starring Armisen until he gets a pile of accusations for crummy behavior.

Hmmm...you know, I don’t think I would have guessed “Charlie Rose” as the next fuck scandal, but there ya go.

He makes a certain kind of audience feel smart by projection.

Actually, I was going to say that dynamic is why this is like the very least surprising one of these so far.

“That mothafucka’s my Caucasian. Write that shit down. He is my Caucasian, and a mothafucka.”

“This script is absolute shit (I’ve done some screenwriting)” I don’t remember the script being particularly great and you may be a very talented writer but those statements made me chuckle back to back.
