Trent Dilfer is 5-1 in the postseason. Playoff numbers are so irrelevant I can't stand it.

No I didn't; every minute counts, and he hardly crumbled. This game is especially indicative of that—he was positively heroic throughout the game. What happens if he has an average game, all else equal? The Cowboys lose by 20. If that happened, this conversation doesn't happen.
That argument has to die—playoff wins are ascribed far too much value. There are innumerable great players who did not have a lot of playoff success, and plenty of average players who did. One player, even one as important as a QB, can only do so much.
Romo is 4th ALL TIME in career QB rating.
Wing Commander NEEDS to be on there. This is a travesty. A couple example fighters on the small chart, and then all the major capital ships on the larger one. Tiger's Claw, Concordia...COME ON
Really? Of the best QBs playing right now, how many were top draft picks?
It absolutely blows my mind clear out of my skull that the rate of purchase of manual transmission cars is so low in the US. Does not compute.
I appreciate the detailed response—I'm going to have to do some research.
Hit detection seems pretty good to me. I think I know what people might have meant about the hitbox change being important for movement...there were times when you might get "stuck" on a corner in vq3, and I haven't seen that at all really in QL, as I've been able to hug a wall and slide around a corner without issue.
I just saw this now, so while I have played a bit of QL since my last post, I haven't had a chance to try what you've mentioned here.
It's only the stodgy "purist" fans that are hung up on PEDs...which is funny because they somehow forget the various substances that players used for decades, but apparently those were okay.
Intriguing. I have not played Quake Live, but I played Q3 for hundreds upon hundreds of hours, and I'm curious about these physics changes. Can you point me towards more information on this? I did some Googling but I'm not finding specifics...
The violence? Seriously? The first thing I did with my config in Q1/Q2/Q3 was remove all gibs/blood/etc, because it just cluttered the display and got in the way (not to mention making every opponent character model be the same large guy, colored neon green, removing textures from the walls, etc). I'd bet that the…
Seriously. The around-the-corner/over-the-edge ones blow my mind. I used to hit some like that in days gone by, but even then I didn't know how—these guys do it as a matter of course.
Gonna have to go ahead and disagree here.
I am a soccer fan actually, so I'm not baiting anyone—and I'll ignore your advice to Google Messi. I'm simply stating that there are athletes with much better physical tools than what we typically see on the pitch. I said in my earlier comment that I was talking about steering these players towards soccer at a young…
I always chuckle when someone mentions "size" in reference to soccer. Dude's 6'3" 180. That's almost frail in real life—nevermind top-echelon sport.
In such situations, I have to apply common sense. Do my friends have something to hide? Can I see whether my friend got a ticket after being pulled over for the 2nd time this month? I can, and he didn't. Do police officers have something to hide? Potentially, yes. Why would they volunteer information like "hey, of…
Cops can be over-aggressive dicks, no doubt (or maybe they're just bored?). I have a reasonably nice car and get pulled over occasionally for no reason whatsoever (ie I get let off with nothing, not even a warning for some contrived reason).
You slept well knowing what, exactly? What your police officer friends say they would never do? Right, they're a reliable source—they have nothing at all to hide.
