I don’t want a system that works in my car. I want a system that works in my car, and in the grocery store, and in my living room. I will not be loading a GM app onto my phone to do that under any circumstances, and I am ...skeptical...that GM could make a product that has any relationship at all to products from

I can’t believe how many people think an infotainment system is a make or break deal with cars.

What is GM’s motive here? I’m sure there’s licensing and copyright agreements that cost money, but do Android Auto and Apple Carplay systems really cost that much to integrate into car entertainment systems? Pass the cost onto the consumer. I’ll pay and I’m pretty sure the rest of us would, too. I have factory

Ballast is ballast.... I don’t care if you strap on a ton of lead or a ton of steel, when it’s on the exterior of the vessel, it’s not gonna make a difference.

What’s the big deal about the sub using Logitech?  The US Navy uses XBox 360 controllers on its submarines.   And the world’s first robotic IVF procedure used a PS5 controller.

It’s goddamn BMW though, they’re one of the biggest brands in the world with some of the most loyal following, they don’t need to “get noticed.”

he’s never expressed much concern over that, because it’s gotten the brand noticed.

The only way that the current design will “grow on” people is in the same way people started looking back wistfully at Dubya’s presidency while Trump was in office.

Cowards.

Hyundai you are making a huge mistake if you do not make the N Vision 74. You would instantly become the most popular car company on the planet. Huge mistake.. instead now I will sell my Ioniq 5 in a few years and go to some other brand..

Exactly. Keep the hydrogen and nutso-specs for a track version, but for a street version, take off the dish rims maybe but otherwise give us that sleek look in a nice zippy EV.

While it’s a cool looking car, that design is way too far out there to make it to production in an age where everything looks mostly the same and companies are scared of taking chances.

Hopefully, Hyundai understands that the excitement was less about the “perfomance kick” and more about the design - Serious 80's DeLorean vibes look GOOD (better than the re-booted DeLorean concept) and definitely more compelling than any EV out of Tesla, Mercedes (with the exception of the Vision concept) or BMW. GM is gonna GM. this is some entrenched BS in their DNA that self sabotages itself. Thanks Robert Smith. I find myself, an avowed anti-Ford person, agreeing with Farley, kinda makes me question my beliefs. Stay customer-centric, it’s like business 101 man

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

...like your smart TV...

I get that having the battery warm up when going to a charging station is a neat feature, but seriously, dropping the Android/Apple Car Play interface is a huge mistake.

This isn’t about helping the police. This is about the police trying to help someone whose child was abducted in a carjacking. It also involves the police themselves spending money they weren’t obligated to spend to get the help they needed.

Executives don’t have to look at a situation involving a kidnapped child to

In the US, there’s generally not a duty to help/rescue. That’s different from common law systems in other countries - in Germany, for example, “unterlassene Hilfeleistung” (meaning a failure to render aid) is considered a tort, subject to reasonable limits. So in VW’s own home country, this might have been a legal

Cadillac lost that pedigree a looong time ago.
