Since we’re speculating on crimes the bumper sticker person commits, I’m going to go with works as a nurse and periodically kills patients.   Just seems to fit.

Trying to stand out in Beverly Hills via car is an arms race you can only ever win briefly. I’d suggest you find the cheapest Lexus RC350 you can find (lowest miles as well) and keep saving the rest for your house. Maybe put some touches on it like wheels or paint to make it stand out more if you need to. You won’t

The Pantera has its issues as well, there’s a Jay Leno’s garage where he goes over the modifications people make to make them work more reliably. That being said: worth it. Gorgeous cars.

I don’t like it, I LOVE it

I agree, 130k is a big chunk toward a house down payment, even in Beverly Hills. That said, the z8 is unlikely to depreciate much so if you need the extra funds for the down payment you can just sell it. And as someone else said, try to find a lower mileage example to be on the safe side for resale.

Exactly. That’s why I think 300 reliable miles (as in 5 years later you shouldn’t have lost too much on max range) is the magic number for a lot of people. Maybe not apartment dwellers, but a big chunk of folks.

1. They need to look good. The Prius convinced manufacturers that these cars need to look derpy and it’s like Tesla and Jaguar are the only ones making them look cool. Make them look awesome. Make all cars look nice.

Well EV’s also need to be able to deal with unpredictable days. Yeah you might only drive 10 miles or less to work and the same to get back plus errands. But every now and then you wind up driving all over town for X reason, so EV’s need either range or lots of fast chargers and the ability to fast charge. Probably

Ok, this comment made me laugh for real

Well maybe, but they pushed the Bolt pretty hard. If it were sexier it might’ve been a bigger hit.

I think enough has happened since EV1 for it to be little more than a talking point, and an easily ignored one at that. If GM can deliver a compelling EV and market it well, thats really where its going to happen or not.

Disappointing.  Back to the drawing board guys, the one in Japan this time.

I miss front bumpers

I remember playing either this (or something very much like it), and being disappointed with the state of videogaames and worrying they might never get good while i was young enough to enjoy them.  Fortunately I was wrong.

The cops should have meters. There should also be a 3 judge panel where majority rules and if your car’s aftermarket exhaust is deemed irritating, like a fart can on an old Civic, then it’s crushed into a cube.

I’ve seen some pretty ridiculous things happen on the road by drivers, people, animals, weather, and just random occurrences. If they can get an autonomous car to handle all that then great, but I’m not surprised it’s going to take a while. Something tells me they’re starting to get incidents in where they go “Never

FT1 was neat but it kinda had a dick nose

Fun cars do silly and excessive things, like have 700hp in a Challeger or leap off ramps like a rally car. If they can really make a car hover then that’s a pretty neat trick and I look forward to the YouTube videos.

This really is impressive. The Leaf has had an unexpected evolution: it started off slow/ugly/ not enough range. Usually cars that flawed stay that way. Instead it evolved to not bad looking/ quickish/ decent range.

1. As long as GM keeps running those real people ads it will turn off some people from even considering them. Psychologically: they’re an emotional turn off to even non-car people, yet they keep making those ads.
