Only 300hp? The base is engineered for the European market, where the avarage car has 120 hp...
Not at all surprised. Here in The Netherlands VW also pulls dirty tricks to somehow always top sales charts. For example, registering a vehicle (which counts as a sale) and then let it rot on a dealer lot for half a year. Granted others do it too, but not on the massive scale VW does it...
Why don’t all vehicles automatically apply the parking brake when opening the door? Even my manual(!) Renault does this.
Typing snarky comments on a moderately informative blog post?
250HP not enough? Damn, how American can one be? I would say the average European car has ~150hp and because everyting has a turbo over here, it actually doesn’t really feel slow :)
The funny thing is that nowadays (after let’s say 2010), French cars are actually remarkably reliable whereas German cars, which are praised to heaven for their reliability and durability by the car magazine I read, are unreliable shitboxes.
Why would you want Skoda?
What kind of #brandnames would they come up with? I’m going with millennial urban active cruiser vehicle.
This car is just great. Ford doesn’t know why nobody buys this gem. Well, let me tell ya..
Ehh... no? The styling and ugly interior make it very 2012 looking.
I suggest that from now on, all new cars should have a mandatory manual. Shifting gears yourself requires more attention, more involvement when driving.
So yeah. Kia created a car that is styled like a knock-off Volvo meets knock-off Chinese knock-off fused with a bit of GTA V car. Very offensive bling mobile. I love it.
Nice article, but how does it get 80 MPGe?
Woke up and this thing sent me right back to sleep. Boring. Rear looks very heavy and dated.
Cool car you get there Doug!
Can you still refer to Tesla as a startup? Tesla has been around for quite a while now, and is an established name in the automotive industry.
Everyone that owns a Tesla with a vanity plate.
It’s funny how they’ll probably market this as a next level Xtreme crossover, whereas they actively market this as a sleek business family vehicle in Europe.
