I wanted to see the video of the police jumping on him and whooping that ass. Where’s that video? ....Oh...he’s white...so that didn’t happen? There isn’t a follow up story describing how this obviously violent white man IN AN AIRPORT wasn’t shot by some police officer for “fear of his safety/life”? Was he at least…
There was a case many years ago where a guy was rejected from the academy for being too smart. He sued the department, and I think the ruling was that smart people are not a protected class, so he lost.
i’ve tried describing the algerian war to my american friends by imagining that instead of the vietnam war, the war was in iraq. but iraq was not being invaded, it was the 51st state with about 5 million white christian american population that had immigrated there as a sort of pioneers over 100 years. but the…
It’s hard to describe (I’m sure it’s all over youtube) but the windshield/all windows on most diesels are actually comparatively small. So, it’s not really that big of a deal unless it gets a perfectly direct blow. These are pretty rare. You might catch a steel beam from a trailer jut through (super unlikely), but I…
This thread reminds me of one night at work that I always thought was hilarious. It was just me and the Engineer deadheading some equipment down to NYC late at night. We were going as fast as legally possible b/c once we tied down we were done for the night. So going somewhere between 50-70 mph, looking out for deer…
That all depends on the engine. In this case, it’s a diesel, so nowhere to hide really. You “could” go down into the bathroom/storage compartment, but then you are closer to the ground. This isn’t ideal.
People never believe it when I tell them that statistically an Engineer/Conductor is going to kill someone at some point during their career. The ones that haven’t yet are dreading their first. One of my absolute favorite Engineers that I ever worked with had 14 “jumpers”, or suicides, in her 25+ years. She still had…
When haven’t unions been corrupt?
Are corporations (e.g Stellantis) good?
Xanax is a better option, some people freak out from edibles.
There’s still such a thing as aircraft RVs though. TP Aero out of Minnesota has a Grumman Albatross that they converted into an amphibious motorhome that even has scuba diving support. It’s pretty beautiful, and you should do an article on it:
Thinking on this more, I’d be perfectly happy if an airline implemented your idea along with making everyone unconscious during the flight. Let me sit down at the gate in my plane seat, put me under, then wake me when it is time to collect my baggage.
That would ruin a lot of innocent people’s trips. Also how are passengers supposed to police their fellow passengers? Are we going to let passengers dole out street justice during flights?
It worked out great for the boomers too, then they killed them to make sure that they couldn’t work out well for near nobody else.
You realize that your argument amounts to replacing pensions with Ponzi schemes, right?
I gotta agree with the others, you missed the point entirely. Jalopnik has a few articles detailing what union members suffered in the beginning with their drive to improve working conditions.
Funny - you missed the point completely.
Good for Biden to leave Tesla uninvited.
