Bull - I have an 87 300SDL (better motor, same body) and I paid $3,800. No, it’s not in as nice condition but had 70k fewer miles and was in good running order. For the other FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS I could redo the entire interior and exterior, rebuild the motor and still have enough left over for an FRS.
