Going by the headline alone I expected this to be a collection of stories about people that have never seen Star Wars, or participated in some other seemingly inescapable pop culture moment.

Huh?
I’ve never had a gritty reboot of my life.
You’re missing out. I’ve stumbled across a body not once, but twice! One turned out to be a drunk guy passed out in a parking lot who was very confused when he came to and saw two random dudes talking to him in a language he didn’t understand. The other body we found? I’d like to think it was also a drunk dude passed…
I hope this means Clearly Canadian will make a comeback.
I’m guessing it’s all an act.
Also I thought Blaine’s dad killed the bodyguard as soon as he got out of the well. I guess I’m not remembering that correctly.
The four movies that had the biggest impact on me as a kid (not including the original Star Wars trilogy):
I had never heard of Cardi B. until a couple weeks ago and now she’s everywhere. I haven’t been this confused since everybody on the planet started drinking La Croix en masse.
Not having thought about Harry Anderson in years I wasn’t expecting this to have as much of an emotional impact on me as it did. Anderson always seemed like a nice guy.
For years I’ve thought of Real Men as the finger gun movie. I also remember thinking it was insanely stupid but also funny.
It’s a middling week for headlines at the AV Club!
“I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” - Everyone on 9/11
Huh I never heard that back in the day.
And for some reason they call cartridges, “tapes”.
A couple of years ago I rewatched this only remembering that I loved it as a kid. I totally agree with this article. Holy shit is it dark!
Exactly. Personally I don’t like most prequels but I know others do. There’s a whole slew of people that like the Star Wars prequels. Somebody on this website even wrote an article talking about how the Star Wars prequels aren’t actually that bad.
Just keep telling yourself that The Force Awakens is a prequel to The Last Jedi and everything will be okay.
Because not everybody hates them.
Somebody get Joaquin to play Dan Higgs from Lungfish.
