Those doors are pretty easy to rebuild. I have an '81 that I am building to '78 spec (400 engine, 78 nose, 78 interior, etc) and I rebuilt the fuel door of my car using some cotter-pins and black paint.

I daily drive a 2nd gen. With a proper exhaust (no emissions and decent mufflers) thy can sound pretty awesome. I just did a camshaft break in on my Pontiac 400 with just long tube headers on, it sounded amazing.

The cool thing with them was my head would act like a defroster. After driving, I would get out of the car and a perfectly circular area of melted snow would remain on the tops right above the area where I sit.

Mine! My heater didn't work at all, I had bald all season tires, T-tops did nothing for insulation, my choke only half worked, and I went everywhere sideways.
