yep, the turbo in the ecoboost model adds the torque you would get from the diesel, while also giving you higher horsepower or the turbo, except for the mild fuel efficiency differences (which you would almost never realize in the real world) the ecoboost would be the way to go.

it's funny because the last gen. ranger had a 4 cylinder non turbo, less power but generally better gas mileage. However the new ones look a lot better and probably are better in every way...
