Put me in there when I’ve got the chicken farts and I’ll launch that thing to the moon.

Funnily enough, neither Fallout 3 nor New Vegas captioned their intros or outros either.
As someone with profound hearing loss myself I’d love to see this.
i’m so excited my pants aren’t even IN THE BUILDING anymore
It’s not a complete match, but you’ve gone a long way towards illustrating why I can’t stand Amnesia and its clones. (Except SOMA, but SOMA is good for its own reasons, so I’ll allow it.) Alien: Isolation is a perfect example of how to do horror right.
To be fair, it kind of is?
Finally, I could make clown horn noises.
And still no PC version. I love the game to pieces, but the lack of a PC version might be Rockstar’s largest misstep with it — and that’s saying something.
Bioshock 2's setting, atmosphere and story blew the original out of the water. The first game was at least somewhat original in its attempt to tackle hefty topics like laissez-faire capitalism, but it was a bit unsubtle in its approach ‘cuz Ken Levine. BS2 was a lot more morally ambigous.
A Bioshock 1 remaster might be worthwhile. That game’s showing its age in places.
I’ve always been in the “Ken Levine needs to be punched in the face for wasting my time” phase. Levine has increasingly lost his grasp on the concept of subtlety with each successive game he’s directed. Seriously, compare his writing for 1998's Thief: The Dark Project with BSI and it’s like he reversed in age from…
holy crap i’m dying over here
Having just played through WD you are not alone. Hell, I just blew a bunch of hours on the DLC instead of going to bed.
D64 has long been one of my favorite Dooms alongside the original (though I have a soft spot for Plutonia as well.) Even now playing it reminds me of those terrifying summer days in my neighbor’s basement working my way through the original’s shareware episode.
Skip the emulator, go straight to Doom64EX.
All the more reason for me to avoid it. I like my fantasy to be a little lighter on the misogyny, thanks.
This was one of the last movies I rented on VHS, way back in like 2002 or something. I remember the day I found it; it was this little hole in the wall rental shop that occupied a storefront that at the time didn’t seem so far away. I remember asking them if they had it — I’d learned the hard way that most rental…
Nice cop-out. Have a nice day.
Not particularly. He’s wrecked the balance and atmosphere, and turned the game into the worst sort of self-parody. And anyway stealing assets from other people is kind of a dick move, yeah?
I realize that most people haven’t given a hot shit about Doom in 22 years but there’s been a thriving community “injecting new life to Doom” on a regular basis for about that long. Most of Brutal Doom is a collection of assets stolen from other modders.
