My favorite is how they wiped all existence of the preview articles for Suicide Squad about how it was going to be “different” from the previous DC movies and great and all of that (because the trailer was “fun”) after the movie came out and was total shit. I also enjoy their “early impressions are in on movies!” and

Io9 is your pretentious friend who thinks something is great one min, and then shits all over it the next. Since RP1 had started its media run, it’s like every article they make splits between the two. The best thing you can do is find out for yourself I guess

Hmm...

Very Taffy Factory esque re: let’s go after crazy legend and it turns out to be true!

Seriously! What the fuck with this article?

This is a fine example if why I’m beginning to dislike SO many of the reviews here. Someone that doesn’t get ‘it’ talking about something they clearly have very little interest in. Many contemporary reviewers could do with beginning to understand not everything is necessarily intended for them personally. Plenty

Most important thing for me: Richard Garfield was toying around with the game mechanics in his head for years, and him and Valve appear to be co-partners in this endeavor. They didn’t call him out of the blue and ask him to half-ass a hearthstone clone out the door.

I guess the good news is that they will eventually come up with their own version of Battle Royale, which undoubtedly will be good.

After reading through the article I have a couple of thoughts that spring to mind.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. GOOD THING VALVE SPENDS ALL THAT TIME CURATING IT’S STEAM LIBRARY SO IT’S NOT FULL OF SHIT OR I’D BE VERY UPSET THAT THEY DON’T DEVELOP VIDEO GAMES ANYMORE....AT ALL. OR EVEN TRY. Seriously? Fuck you Valve.

I mean c’mon let’s be honest here Valve can you really make any for of collectible card game based system that by it’s very functionality isn’t at least somewhat pay to win. You can balance it but there is always an element of that.

That being said the game looks really cool and I look forward to trying it out.

Like... any traditional TCG?

So this looks pretty similar to TES : Legends but with each lane having their own HP. Sounds interesting, unfortunately card games are nothing without the Trading aspect, so Valve will be the first company to make a real “T-CG” since MTG:Online. That’s good.

Not “likely”, it’s confirmed. If you had bothered to read the article, you’d know that there will be micro transactions in the form of card packs, but Valve is claiming the game will not be pay-to-win.

Kinda skeptic this could be in same sentence.

Looks like we dodged the Shannon Purser bullet. Good job, everyone.
