Johnny Manziel has been celebrated for his instragram photos and endorsements? Seems like the groundswell around him is that he is an immature dick whose off-field antics are causing a distraction. RG3 has also suffered for making himself a "brand" instead of focusing on actually playing well. What double standard

#1 - Who misinformed you on this?

Owens. Is she like Madonna and Cher and goes by one name or was the first name erroneously not included in the article?

No offense but jumping off the building seems about as bright as jumping under Tony Stewart's tires.

This is really going to cause a distraction in the WNBA.

True. If it's obvious, I hope he pays the price even though I think ultimately it's the kid's fault.

Maybe because he saw some youngster come out of his car shaking his fist and yelling at him?

Unless that video shows him swerving into him and yelling "I'm going to run you over mother fucker" I don't see he would be prosecuted for manslaughter. I don't believe any jury would convict him when he hit someone who essentially ran out into traffic.

I completely agree with that. Unless they snag his GoPro camera and he said, "I'm going to run this mother fucker over" and then ran him over, I can't imagine anyone prosecuting someone over this,

That's absolutely true. I mean, look no further than the death of the driver whose temper caused him to walk onto the field. So it's entirely possible that two stupid decisions were made that resulted in the loss of life. He may not have purposefully intended to kill him, but he may have decided to get as close to

Looks like they realized how callous that was a dropped out. I'm stunned that after that accident that they didn't think of at least the PR from him just "business as usual."

I totally agree that he was an idiot for doing that. He lost his life because of a temper tantrum. It's still tragic to me that someone, a 20 year-old, made a split second decision and paid the ultimate price.

I agree — I completely missed his point and apologized later. Tired eyes. And stupidity on my part!

I'm staying up way late too because of it. I think there is another video — they said Stewart was wearing a GoPro so that should be quite illuminating as to whether he could be seen. I just can't quite get over the consequences of (potentially) two hot headed maneuvers that, in the blink of an eye, resulted in the

Agreed. It almost looks like he hit him, then accelerated and fishtailed.

This is coming from someone who doesn't watch racing, the video makes it appear like he may have tried to scare him. But as we agree, the kid was out there and went far into the track. When I first watched the video, I thought the car to hit him was going to be the first car — the blue one. He was probably lucky

Aw good point. I don't think he'll be able to claim he didn't *see* him because the video makes a strong argument for "I saw you, I am speeding up and will spray you with dirt for being stupid and getting out of your car." So that seems intentional. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Agreed. First off, the kid charging the track could've been hit by another driver just by being on the track in the middle of this practice run. But if Stewart had only intended to scare him by getting dust on him, he clearly saw him and it was intentional in addition to being stupid. Tragic loss of life over

Yeah — it's entirely possible that he did not see him as he was wearing black and probably didn't have much time to react. At least that is what I hope because it's so hard to imagine someone being so callous that they would purposefully hit him.

That's what it looked like to me. From the video, it looks like he first got caught by the tire, then dragged and hit also by his own car and then flung. So unbelievably tragic. If he had only just stayed in his car (not to make it sound all Stephen A. Smith) but that seemed like a really bad mistake and he
