I agree. I see a lot of films, too, especially ones with ‘prestigious actors’ - I used to be an actress, so obviously I’m into all that.  I think his reputation as a bad boy and supposed attitude as an actor far precedes his actual canon of work, it appears... so , I mean... yeah.
