Other than the steel door, all of these projects reduce your home’s ROI. They increase the sale value by less than the cost of the project — the only difference is whether you recoup a large fraction or a small one.
Does it do this by default? Because if so, the proper reaction should be “uninstall”, not “turn it off”. That’s a pretty big violation of trust, IMO.
