What is it with the writers here and giving away the ending in the first paragraph?

Deadpool is the only "X-Men"-based movie that knows what it is and consistently runs with it for the entirety of the movie.

I did notice Elfman on AoU, because I find his style is quite different from Brian Tyler.
It reminded me of the work James Newton-Howard and Hans Zimmer did on The Dark Knight.

Don't get me wrong, I have fond memories of X-Men. I particularly loved the humanity given to Wolverine and Rogue's characters.

I'm assuming you mean "since, but not including, Danny Elfman's Batman theme". ;)

Unfortunately, Michael Kamen passed on, but John Ottman's theme is reminiscent of the 90s X-Men cartoon theme.

Some are kinda tied depending on how I feel on the day.
