They are not abandoning Zelda for Wii U, it will most likely come out on both systems at the same time. Also, the DQ news comes soon after the announcement of Project CARS skipping gen in favour of NX version, so I guess Slightly Mad also might have already seen the NX devkit.
Who knows what the NX will be? It might not be a home console, but an ecosystem allowing you to play on different hardware solutions, be it your phone, your PC, and -why not?- your Wii U... OK, I’ll stop, for I’m just making wild guesses, obviously.
If so, the NX becomes a Day 1 buy for me.
