Are we really pretending that low-quality day players is a Canadian thing and not a thing that's endemic to low-budget tv in general?

He's playing P.T. Barnum.

As a Sif fan, the lack of Sif bums me out.

He got ripped up by Bad Luck Fale :(

Goddammit I did not expect to be more excited for this film than basically anything else the MCU has done lately… but I am!

"though master hacker Cayden James, who was conveniently never shown last year despite being mentioned a bunch of times, seems like a pretty safe bet."

The shoulder pauldrons are what break it for me. Get rid of those and we're fine.

The fact that it's an obvious Ross homage doesn't make it a good poster. Personally, I don't think it's bad overall, but I do think their incorporation of Aquaman isn't successful.

I find myself more excited for DC's movies than Marvel's because DC goes way more comic book. Marvel always insecurely treads that tightrope of reality, afraid to scare away its mainstream audience. DC doesn't care and embraces its roots.

That's great. Considering they've both already had Kara beat Superman who had already beaten Zod AND they had her no-sell kryptonite, they're not going to be able to make Reign a credible threat to her, and needed a good villain. Pasdar plays fantastic evil manipulator, and will be great as either a sub-boss to set-up

We're a major newspaper, but we don't have reporters who specialize in covering specific topics!

I need to get up-to-date on that show. I really liked the second season.

One of those people who calls out elitist gatekeeping "I'm right because I've read comics for X years therefore I'm an authority" bullshit? Why yes I am.

The way they've used Carol reminds me of how in wrestling they decide to push a character as important, but they're so eager to elevate them that they make them super-prominent before they've figured out how to actually adapt the character well for a prominent role.

I recall that Carol was also interesting in Reed's series where she felt like she hadn't lived up to her potential.

I couldn't remember the Chitauri from the comics. I had assumed they where a dumb substitute for an annihilation wave.

As far as her power level, I am absolutely certain that they will bring her up to Superman levels by the end of the end of the movie

You're thinking of the Captain Marvel from the Shazam-Isis Power Hour. Fun fact: Isis will be joining the crew of Legends of Tomorrow this upcoming season. I am assuming that her name will not be Isis.

His use of magic is a continuous feature of the character. Maybe you've spent 40 years reading the wrong comics.

"stupid, or silly, or malicious."
