You only tangentially hit on the fact that future salaries are based on past performance. In order for this analysis to really hold up he needed to analyze WAR for these guys in their FA year (or years surrounding it)
we put a bit of vinegar on them after we cut them (usually a mild vinegar like apple cider vinegar) and that also cuts down on the sharpness & odor.
Not the town of motels! I had to take the greyhound between Pittsburgh and Philly so many times during college and we always stopped at some god-awful cafeteria in Breezewood. Other options there were equally terrible.
