These things were amazing.  They were not appreciated when new, but they’ve been cheap autocross track rats for the past decade or so, which has made them cool.

In between the extremes of “companies should be charities” and “companies should be free to do anything” is “companies should be responsible”. This Wall Street obsession with short term bonuses at the expense of long term health is precisely what’s wrong with the economy today. Companies aren’t spreading wealth

We definitely need to change the game. Capitalism in its current form, is totally broken. When you combine the legal obligation to maximize shareholder value, modern tax schemes and the benefits of pushing for deregulation, you get vast wealth inequality and a climate that's out of control. We need a new system before

this is even worse in the world of motorcycles!

Another example of someone thinking money spent on modifying their vehicle equals equivalent increase in value. It does not.

Both my kids took a 93 Jeep Cherokee to high school.   And it survived.

But did you know that they also used Maverick in Australia (and probably NZ) as a badge-engineered Nissan Patrol?

Many, many millions survived driving such cars, myself included. And my first car was a ‘74 Pinto.

Solution: don’t crash! Folks worry too much.

A friend of mine has owned a carpet cleaning company for 20 years. Ive done a fair bit of work for him over the years, and there is definitely an art to the tracks you leave behind, and it DOES have an impact on the customers’ perception of the results

I didn’t realize that carpet vacuuming could be an art medium! And this Honda is incredibly clean and well presented. The seller has really moved the bar on “presentation.”

Neither car is really a Toyota. The FRS is built by Subaru, has a Subaru VIN plate, etc.

I am thrilled I dumped my BRZ a few years ago. I don’t know what’s going on at Subaru, but their build quality has gone straight down the shitter, regardless of what Consumer Reports might say. My issues were primarily cosmetic - but I was facing several thousand dollars to repaint the car when the paint started

I’m kind of surprised that Toyota would essentially subcontract out the engines of two of their cars, especially for a halo car like the Supra. If those engines aren’t as reliable as people expect a Toyota engine should be, they’re risking a major hit to their reputation. People are going to look at the emblem on the

20 year ASE Master L1, here. Subaru is concerned about silicone closing oil feeds in the cylinder heads during the torquing of the cylinder head top half (they have a sort of girdle). If the bead is improperly placed, the bead will squish into the feeds. Alternatively, leftover rtv may end up in the oil grooves of the

Soooo the dealership doesn’t offer like...I dunno...a 500 mile warranty after tearing open the motor and doing valve springs? That’s crazy.

Get the business card of a lawyer, take it to the dealership and tell them you’ll be putting a retainer down instead of paying for the engine.

I am one of the affected scion owners. 15 miles after i left the dealership i had the same symptoms as everybody else. It’s been a month, toyota corporate is brushing their shoulder, and the dealership isn’t compensating besides free labor to install a new engine, engine/block on my expense. First time i am posting
