“ ... change from Car companies to Tech companies ... “

Well apparently, a lot of people do, right? Here’s a hint - blind hatred is blind - it sold 3 million in the first six years on the market globally:

The problem with Camry drivers in general, including any driven by ‘enthusiasts’ is that they fell for the hyperbole - i.e. see one of the other truly annoying commericals that includes the lame “ ... love the bold new styling ... “ and the completely moronic gushing “ ... Camrys are so reliable ... “ (that has to be

Yes, some later versions were - but not the one I had:

Actually, no - the Buick LaCrosse is far more ‘plush’ than the ES and is quieter and more refined as well. I bought a 2014 as I drive a shit-ton of miles a year for business -a colleague bought a Lexus ES and you’re right, it is more expensive, but you get less refinement and quality features.

I like sedans, but my wife has moved to CUV’s from vans and they tend to have more legroom and superior cargo utilization than comparable sedans. The wheel size are the same too. They get better fuel economy than the vans did and yes, she likes the ride height. I don’t know why so many people have an issue with that -

Acura and Lexus are both competitors for Lincoln and Buick. Not so sure about Chrysler, though.

Actually, after the Aura, second gen Vue and their Lambda were introduced, they didn’t have any ‘shitty’ cars and sold at pretty good volumes too - just didn’t make sense to keep going with the Malibu and G6 on the same platform, Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain and the other Lambdas competing for the same customers.

It was, actually. It and the Grand National sold quite well and also brought plenty buyers into the showroom who bought lower level Regals.

The 95 to 99 were awesome - I often wonder what a next gen would have looked like.

Clueless, you are - I had a 1968 Opel Kadette Rally and it was as far away from “ ... worst pieces of shite every to languish in a Buick showroom...” as possible.

Raising the center of gravity reduces body roll?

Nice, thorough answer. Sounds like you have plenty of work to keep you busy, though.

That’s interesting, but I know for a fact that all ECU’s are tested in environmental chambers, many with vibratory shakers inside them.

Yes, it was ahead of its time - but your last sentence is nowhere near correct, which is why I provided the info I did.

Funny, the post after this one asks about cars that were ahead of their time.

Not one of the Chrysler vehicles that I have owned/driven, or any that friends or co-workers have had that happen.

Nah, not even close. The EV1 was only a short term leasing program to gather real world data about EV use patterns and other info.

actually I am - just tired of the mental midgets who insist that Apple et al are so much more ‘in the know’ for electronics and SW.

My iPhone crashes, my PC crashes, my tablet crashes - whens the last time one of the dozens of ECU’s crashed on your car?
