Apparently they also let BMW handle the racing version.

I’m with you. I think the flying doorstops look great. Very much a product of their time. I’d be happy to have one in my Jalop fantasy garage.

Although often derided as “the Flying Doorstop”, I always thought these things looked kind of cool, not 246 cool, but cool in their own way.

Were they powered by...fossil fuels?

I’ll show myself out.

gud parsh

Or, you could do bumblebee stripes.

And stuff like this is exactly why I wished that DPi cars could have been allowed at the LM24.

Yep. Wouldn’t be the first time they’ve tried to cite their burst production rate while tacitly - but not explicitly - that it’s their sustained rate.

They probably extrapolated from a single day just like they did for the other one...

That would be my first question as well. My second would be how sustainable and robust is it, and thirdly what are the build quality implications?

Cannonball run

Now, did they hit it for the week or did they extrapolate from a one day total? Either way, we’ll know soon enough.

No one else will get it, but COTD! Wish I had more stars......

Meh.

There was also this............

I like my Pastrana on rye and not to die.

MORE OF THIS PLEASE

In my case, the side stripes were just the right touch of rad to push it over the edge of awesome in my eyes.

500 Abarths have side stripes, as do some of the regular 500s. Andy Blackmore, real world race car livery designer, made this one for his own 500 Abarth. Since mine’s red, I might reverse the colors and put it on mine.
