The batteries on all of these cars ( Tesla, Prius, Volt, Leaf etc) all deteriorate with age. Its just that the ECU will continually compensate and so the driver will never know. The thing is that even if the battery blows its not that big a deal. Our 02' Prius would’ve cost around $1,200 for a remanufactured battery.…

Timing belts on 90's Toyota Avalons. Me and my Brother spent an entire fucking weekend getting his replaced. You have to remove both valve covers, meaning the removal of the intake plenum and the billions of little hoses it connects to. What a royal pain in the ass!!

That does not indicate that the overall brand is trouble-free and so too is the case of one owning numberous trouble-free BMWs. Fully 50% of those I’ve known who have owned BMWs have encountered serious and often costly problems with them.
