I looked at the new one recently. I’m used to mine now but there’s certainly some weird User interface and usability issues. The new one has many of those annoyances figured out. I’m waiting for the new versions to get “used” enough to be cheap. Once they hit the 15-20k range I’ll possibly bite.

I’ve not noticed anything out of the ordinary as far as filling. A lot of the servicing is fairly ordinary too. I changed the oil myself. Not a big deal.

Volts are surprisingly cheap to own and operate. Mine gets used as a heavy duty commuter-mobile, with 38 miles each way. I barely get to and from work with a few miles left on the battery. Thus the engine seldom runs. My wife uses the engine more than me. But we fill it up maybe every 2-3 months max.

I see the same one occasionally on my commute home. In person they’re actually quite striking. Very clean lines and since its about the only one I’ve seen, refereshing too.
