Yup, and I mentioned to another guy here that my dad had this same experience. He bought a Nissan Sentra that had been in some sort of flash flood. The car would at random just shut down. One time it did this when I was on the freeway, which was scary as shit. We too got rid of that thing.

My Dad did just this very thing. He bought a used Nissan Sentra that had been submerged up to the door sills. He got it for $800 which seemed cheap but the car would then at random just shut down on the freeway. We replaced the ECU, the wires, and some of stuff but it was never trustworthy. Lesson learned.
