Duh. Why did it take this long? You get more efficiency and if needed, potentially more torque.

I would leave you with this: Those whom are losing their power and influence tend to yell the loudest. That is what we are seeing with the extreme far right of the conservative sections of the country. We will never be a liberal country. But the brand of conservatism that used to pass as “ok” in some areas is no

While I know this is not the reason one buys such a car.... good god the interiors in these things were awful.

While I too am concerned about him, I don’t think he has a chance of winning. First if all, I am sure that as we speak backroom deals are going on within the GOP. The man is toxic to their brand and they know it. He’s already done a tremendous amount of damage their image.

Damn it, you beat me.

I have a few notions. But basically at least where I grew up many families- including mine- had lived there for generations. The entire area had been more or less cutoff from the rest of the world until the freeway system came in during the 60’s. So nothing had changed at all for 100’s of years.

This seriously looks like a cross between a Jeep compass and a VW.

Agreed 120% and to add more to this, I would say that his eager supporters do probably know at least something: They know how to repeat whatever they’ve listened to on their little AM talk shows. Trust me. I grew up in a very conservative area and 99% of the time if I ever heard someone going on and on about

All I know is that this whole thing has brought to the surface a seeming underbelly of nastiness in a far greater quantity than I could have ever known existed in the US. Maybe its because I’ve lived in California for too long . I grew up in the South and so definitely was surrounded by a lot of conservatives. But I

I am so damned tired of that argument. That is exactly the same as someone who has a problem with their car and then proclaiming that they’re going to take it to their barber to fix instead because they don’t trust mechanics.

He is full of shit. I can’t think of anything more concise when it comes to my opinions.

Actually it seems people don’t exactly “Applause” for him. Instead they sort of crow... sort of like the large quantity of roosters that lived next door to my grandmother’s house.

But in order to have good management you need to have good ideas. Not stupid ones.

Let’s make the headline even more to the point: Trump has no real ideas. Period. I’ll be honest: I’ve barely listened to a word he has to say because frankly I think his run for office is a joke. But in the back of my mind I wondered well surely.. surely he’s saying something that appeals to many people per his polls.

Same thing with us. Even close friends whom are up on their alernative energy cred. I think the situation was that the Volt was the first such widely produced cars with such a setup and thus it wasn’t as easy to “explain” in a 15 second ad. The new ads are much, much better.

I feel that BMW must have a molding machine that simply squeezes out the same shape and at the end someone sticks on a few letters and numbers so those who pay attention can tell the difference. Oh look! Its a BMW 32XY-r-32 model! So much better than the 32XY-r-31 model...

Its because GM did a crappy job of advertising the first gen Volt. Even now so many people will ask me how it works. Or they think that its simply an all-EV car that only goes 40 miles period. Or that its another “prius” that behaves the same way.

Then you agree with me then because my response was in regards to a commentator claiming that Ford introduced models that directly competed with the Prius.

sowwwwy... but yer wrong. The Escape hybrid was in no way, form or fashion a competitor to the Prius. If you want to try and argue with me then I’d suggest tying the Escape hybrid to its actual competitor... and that would be the Toyota Highlander Hybrid.

Former lifelong Toyota, now Chevy owner here. Granted I went from a Prius to a Volt, but even so, about 2 years ago I rented a Chevy Cruz on a business trip and was impressed. A far cry from the piece of shit we had as a driver’s ed car when I was in high school in the early 90’s- a Chevy Corsicca.
