Volvos at this point are parts bin cars. I actually took a peek under the hood of a new cross country last week that a friend had bought. There were seriously Ford parts inside. That and parts from Vietnam, China, Brazil, and who knows where else. The Volvos of old that we all loved are long-gone.

Here’s another thought: So as of now the average level 2 chargers use something like 60 amps of power. If Porsche is making a claim their charger will be twice as poweful then that suggests something around 120 amps. Most older homes operate using a 60-100 amp service. Only problem: how much will this cost? I’m going to guess its going to be a whole hell of a lot more than a model S by far. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the car were 200k+.

This seems like an overly complicated idea for not a ton of gain. If those are illustrations are at all realistic it appears that the engineers went to the appliance store and dissected a refrigerator for the parts.

The shots of the interior and engine bay looks like some kind of awful back yard amalgamation gone horribly wrong. The interior seriously looks like the inside of ford minivan.

Can’t put a finger on it but to me the design looks plain and uninspired. The original looks better. Maybe its sometimes difficult to top that itteration.

Agree and yes- the first time I cleaned the throttle body I noticed the oily/dirty residue.

I installed one of those K and N filters on my truck 10 years ago. While it did let in more air it also let in more dirt. The result was that the throttle body would simply get filthy every 10,000 miles. I went back to the boring ole’ paper filter after that.
