Could’a fooled me. It looks pretty much like it did 5 years ago if the pic above is the “new” one.

Take a look at the new volt. 53 miles on the battery, 15k less, and can actually be taken on road trips since it has a real engine with a 9 gallon tank in addition
I would bet $100 if the i3 had a badge on it of anything other than BMW people would univerally hate the design. To me there is such a thing as daring and original design. But IMHO its not just that the i3 is pretty fugly but that the proportions are also way off. BMW is a company that tends to play it a bit more…
As of now the Volt has an acceleration of 0-60 in 7 seconds flat. In regards to your comments about the “Low rent” interior, I actually test drove an i3. Its not like the interior in the i3 is really anything to write home about. I’m not a very large guy but the i3 is a SMALL car. As in it is not at all on the same…
GM had to make the design more mainstream. Even so its not a bad looking car. The old Volt didn’t sell as well as it should have mainly because the advertising was horrible for it and nobody understood how it worked. But the more mainstream designs means more sales which is a good thing. Its still about 200% better…
Oh but I do. The same can be said for the i3, which doesn’t sell well here either. The new Volt will probably help ensure those numbers will fall further which is good for the sake of preventing bad design tastes from polluting the freeway system.
Too bad for you guys then. My 11’ volt has been great and I’m very tempted to buy a 16’ volt
Pssst... Get the new volt. 53 miles on EV, 15k cheaper and it doesn't look like a drunk version of the Aztec
Am I missing something here or was this supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek thing? It looks like a CGI model of an already produced car. Or something along those generic lines...
Explain. I have a 20 year old Tacoma, a 60 year old Mercury and a 4 year old Chevy Volt. All dried using old cotton bathroom towels. All look practically new. Not sure what cars you’re driving but if their paint gets ruined when dried with towels please declare their names so I won’t buy them.

Know what will also dry an entire car? Old bathroom towels.

I’m sure I’ll see them around here in the Bay Area. People here enjoy inexplicablly buying nonsensical cars like the BMW i3, VW E-golf and I am sure this thing too.
Agree 100%. I own a 4 year old Volt that goes around 40 miles on average. The new Volt goes 53 miles. 14 miles is almost laughable. I think Audi is simply counting on their name to sell this thing because the tech is pretty oudated. The story above sort of compared the Volt and the E-tron. The two are not even in the…
At this point the only “work” trucks are fleet sale trucks. As in those with plain cloth bench seats, crappy plastic interiors, and steelies. That’s fine with me as far as I’m concerned. Trucks stopped being “trucks” a long time ago and instead became more like the playthings of the typical suburbanite weekend warrior.
Shaaaaadap.
Plugin hybrids are very much EVs for a portion of their usage: the Volt only uses the battery and nothing more until it runs out. How is its range misleading? My 2011 Volt tends to go 43 miles on average and thus the 38 mile range is rounded down for the “average” user. As mentioned the new Volt will go 53 miles which…
I wish this guy the best of luck. I suffered from anxiety issues for years and didn’t really realize it until I had a mental breakdown 4 years ago. I went to therapy, have some meds that help, but at the end of the day its all about working hard to break old habits, learn to accept fear and dangers and march on.
Well first of all Audi doesn’t even have this out yet. My comment was with regards to EVs. So far Tesla, GM, Ford, Fiat, and Nissan have had EVs for years. I assume this Audi is going to cost a shit-ton of money too and will have limited sales at best. The Audi A3 wagon, which has also yet to come out has a 30 mile…
Ehh... Good god these are such fugly looking cars.
So it's an electric Audi? Probably be a lot of owners who will have the entire car malfunction then. Oh- and these guys are late to the party.
