Nah... I was born in 1977 and just always liked old stuff.

Actually I don’t approach anyone about their cars at a gas station. That’s weird.

I’m glad that you wasted some of your time responding to me since I don’t exactly care what your concerns are.

Interesting in that I’ve repeatedly seen a similar thing at car shows. We have a local one in town where I live and last year out of all of the shiny, perfect Jags, Mustangs, Vettes and so on the folks who got the most attention was one guy who had a Ford Pinto wagon with less than 5,000 miles and another guy with 2

I wanted to add another comment perhaps to show the other side, or as the person getting the attention. As my name states I have a 55’ Mercury. Its just a big 4 door family car and is in no way an exotic. But the thing attracts people like bugs to a flame because its an “exotic” thing to see. I bought it 13 years ago

Hey you know what? I fully owned up to the statement I made. So stick it in yer ear.

I’m going to be honest and ugly even though I know what I am about to say is not fair and mean. My gut reaction anytime I see something like a new Porsche/BMW/Audi/Lambo or whatever my instant split-second brain flash is “Prick!” Now- there are probably some physiological reasons that happens. Maybe its because I grew

I was wondering why someone hadn’t mentioned Obama yet. Anyway, Reidlos did make a good point so it was definitely worthwhile to discuss.

Thats what I meant. For some reason I dont really have a problem with people buying these used since they’re usually a LOT cheaper.

Those were crap cars and I remember even when they wern’t that old the things rusted like crazy. I think they were made when Ford first tried out water based paints and the paint wound up coming off after a few years.

I can appreciate that response and it does make a lot of sense to me as well. I have worked for companies that sold specialized equipment that sometimes cost over 1 million dollars per unit. Of course I couldn’t afford nor could actually use the stuff but I did work on it in some capacity and thus had pride in the

This will sound stupid. But oh well. I typically don’t like giving any attention to exotic car or even upscale luxury car owners. Go ahead and call me a socialist but to me buying cars like that new are kind of a ridiculous and I don’t exactly feel like giving someone extra attention as a result. I am sure a maelstrom

When was the last time anyone saw a Ford Tempo? When I was a kid there were zillions of them. I think its been 5 years since I’ve last seen one.

Eh.... not really. I’m a graphic designer by profession and IMHO Futura looks a bit old fashioned. The new font they have chosen though isn’t exactly that drastic of a change. It too is also conservative.

They aughta’ stick a fish hook in the grille to compliment the way it looks.

Unfortunately the mice are pretty mean. They refuse to give it back.

It works though. Granted I thing most VW products are crappily made but the average consumer has no clue that VW, Audi and others are owned by the same company and since badges are important to people perhaps many of those redundant designs are overlooked.

Exactly. It looks almost cheap. As in I wouldn’t be surprised to see something like this pull up at WallWorld.

Ha! Amazing you know about Bernie Sanders. Nope- he doesn’t stand a chance. I’m about as liberal as they come but the US is still fairly split down the middle. He is way too far to the left. As much as I hate to say it Presidents here seem to reliably go back and forth between Republican and Democratic between

I’d still rather have one that looks like a truck and less like a minivan/front end of a Lexus. We used to take Dad’s 4Runner literally everywhere. And if it got a small dent of scratches? Oh well. It looked like a truck. I have no doubt the new ones can do whatever you want. I simply feel there’s something a little
