Considering Mazda is still going strong with motorsports and Nissan seems to have been making a casual exit over the past 15 years, this is no big surprise.

This is another example of Mazda doing something very noteworthy and largely going unnoticed for it. Their vehicles also get better MPGs because they've actually shed weight instead of piling on the steel - and whattayaknow they're just as safe as any other vehicle on the road.
