That’s not how insurance works though. You can’t get in a car crash, call up an insurance company and say “I’ve had a crash, can I buy insurance now so you can fix my car?”.

Windshields are likely designed differently. They are designed to crack but not shatter. You also expect more impacts from road debris, so they are probably stronger. My guess would be that their windshield that wraps up all the way into a ‘sunroof’ is stronger than a typical sunroof.
Should be a quick rear rotor/pad change. Turns out the rear caliper is seized. One of the caliper glide bolts actually broke in two. Anyways, buy a new caliper, get it installed with new rotor and pads (had to drill out the little screw that holds the rotor, of course). Go to the other side.... same thing. Caliper…
Would probably say something like “Prototype Vehicle”.
I mean, I’m with you... but half the time (if not more) when you email someone, they won’t give you a price and ask you to “just stop by the dealership to talk with a salesperson!”, or they give you a BS price that is, again, just to try and get you in the door.
I mean, did you read what Hyundai is trying to do? You would still have to deal with a dealer a little bit, but by allowing a test drive anywhere, pricing out the exact costs online, and then submitting paperwork online, the actual amount of time spent dealing with a dealer should be very minimal. That’s got to count…
I like the TI, but with that many miles for $3750? They can be had for way less, and you could probably get a decent 325i for that money. Makes for an interesting option for a Chumpcar though!
It might just be. Perhaps I just got lucky, but about 2.5 years ago I bought a 2001 Imola Red 6spd E46 M3 for $16k with about 47k miles on it. After 2 years and only ~4k miles, I sold it with some modifications (wheels, tires, exhaust, coilovers) for $24k. Just gotta find the right buyer.
In all fairness, this article was referring mostly to the idea of charging stations in dense city centers. The idea is that you could drive to the grocery store, charge while you shop, and come out to a fully charged car.
Technically, our Patches is a dilute tortie. But close enough!
Just to put that in perspective, last year...
Hey, I have a cat named Patches and another (named Peanut) that looks almost identical to your Apple!
Catalopnik! One of my cats, Peanuts, also likes to watch racecars go zoom.
I don’t think many people would classify a $30,000 car as a “beater”...
But a BMW is still a “luxury” car, whereas a Honda Accord is not. It may be nice, but I’m sure the BMW has a lot more weight in making NVH better. You might be surprised at how much money and weight automakers will spend/add to decrease outside road noise, unwanted vibrations and noises, etc...
Wish I could give you more stars. I used to balk at the credit card fees, until my wife and I got a credit card the other year with a $195 fee that gives us a free domestic flight every year, regardless of how much we spend on it. That right there is easily worth over $195.
Omg, right? Like, why don’t poor people just stop being so poor and instead be rich like me?
Or instead you could buy a Focus ST and, for only $795, you can get a factory-warrantied tune through Ford Performance Parts that nets you 90 (NINETY) ft-lbs of torque.
Sure, there’s room for improvement. But given the small market for sporty cars, why should they bother?
Not to mention the E46 M3 has a 6-speed manual transmission, this one has the regular non-M 5-speed....
