HAHAH SHE IS FAT.
HAHAH SHE IS FAT.
If you think there’s a full shot in a $4 margarita, never borrow money to open a bar.
I just pointed out that the server isn’t a damn hero.
I’m just having a hard time believing you’re willing to die on this hill. Sure, many people can be at fault in the same story, to varying degrees. And many people are in this story. Why do you feel the need to defend the worst ones? That’s a lot of empathy for a couple of asshole drunk-drivers.
“He served them an unconscionable amount of booze and then bragged about how great of a person he is, even though he was just being a petty asshole.”
At no point in time does the server say how great a person he is. And we are all aware that if he hadn’t been upset at being shorted in the tip (when it sounds like this…
The server is a goddamn hero for getting those idiots off the road.
One of the regulars put together a FAQ that covers this stuff, but to paraphrase it, it’s that no matter how much of an asshole someone is in one of these stories, some commenter will come up with a way of justifying the asshole’s behaviour.
Drinking and driving is NOT OKAY. It doesn’t fucking matter if the guy overserved or not, once those guys get in a car and start to drive, they are doing something illegal as fuck and need to be stopped IMMEDIATELY before someone DIES.
Whatever his motive, he may have saved someone's life - including the customers'. As for overserving, let's assume the customers sat there for four hours of trivia, drinking watery, cut-rate margaritas. That means they got 1.5 drinks per hour worth of alcohol if they even got a full serving in those icy sugar bombs,…
“Getting stiffed was the catalyst for this, not doing the right thing.”
Seriously. This is just depressing. I expect better.
Pinkham’s Law bringing out burner lawyers. This is amazing.
This was a story about heroes? I thought it was a story about revenge.
he didn’t know they were driving until he followed them out.
Honestly, it’s like they’re not even trying this week.
Man, you guys are making the absolute laziest Pinkham’s Law attempt I’ve ever seen with this argument. Come on. You can all do better.
Sadly, someone has already beaten you to the first Pinkham’s Law comment of the day, but you nearly nailed it, so you get an honourable mention.
I don’t know that it would’ve been “OK,” but they wouldn’t have been followed out of the restaurant in the first place had they left even a decent tip.
