But eventually they got a great musical out of the deal.

It’s the least they could do. He does everything for them.
No worries. The Vegas Sudiques will be there in no time.
As a non-business, nor economics major that works in finance, that’s false. Outside of the geniuses that would be successful in any other field, most of the finance and econ majors are too rigid in their learning. They don’t have depth to their thinking (many of them struggled in subjects like history, English, etc,…
At every school I’ve ever worked at, the business major has been a total joke. My brother-in-law’s final “thesis” for his MBA was a group paper that clocked in at a whopping 18 pages (each group member wrote 6 pages). Many biz/econ students would have been better served in a liberal arts major that forced them to…
Express is just the name of that new strip club outside of Dallas.
This. This is what it’s all about! Leave it to Sweden to be fucking awesome.
You’re totally that guy that goes to an event where everyone else is having fun and spends the whole time complaining about everything and ruining it for everyone aren’t you? You fit in perfectly in the Deadspin comment section.
“Thumbs up then, dude.”
Can we stop the ‘bro’ shit? The comments sections on Grantland articles were 1,000x more sophisticated and nuanced than your average comments section. While Simmons can be annoying, there is nothing particularly ‘brotastic’ about his fanbase.
When a politician “panders” to his/her “base” it is rightfully seen as cheesy, calculated and at times, unethical.
Leitch himself said that Deadspin wouldn’t exist without Simmons
Bill Simmons’ best talent is identifying, hiring and (I suppose to a certain extent mentoring) very talented writers, podcasters and the like. Grantland’s staff was very strong and The Ringer’s staff is shaping up strong as well. By all accounts, he is a good boss who is loyal to his people and they seem loyal to him.
Bill Simmons is good. He has earned a reputation as someone who can recognize and empower talent. He has a good sense of where the market for sports media is, to his credit. People give him some shit for the writing that he actually does himself, but I thought it was good for a long time.. until maybe just a few years…
“Sir, you can’t sleep out in this lot again tonight, move along.”
Come on Patrick everyone knows this was the defining pic of the Vancouver riots:
Hey! He was a TALL 12 year old, okay? And he was openly carrying what looked like a real gun which obviously indicates illegal activity and danger!
Can’t wait for his college lecture series: “guys, it’s not worth it. If you’re going to rape an unconscious girl, make sure you take her into a room with a good solid lock on it. Out back next to the dumpster is JUST TOO RISKY. Even if you can swim real fast.”
He’s sick and absolutely will re-offend. He’s exactly the kind of person prisons were built for.
2016 America: Where a 12-year old boy is shot and killed by the police for playing with a toy and it’s his fault because he should have “known” that people would see him as a threat, while a full-grown adult who rapes an unconscious woman and tries to flee should only have to endure a couple months of jail because…
