See? ou haven’t learned - your emotional hyperbole is one of the primary reasons you lost the election - and were shocked by it.

“By claiming racism, sexism, xenophobia, or other fun castigations, you are completely missing that these communities are reacting to their situation continuing to get worse.”
Yeah, born and raised in Western, PA. My family worked in manufacturing. I voted for Hillary, but absolutely understand the economic despair of some of these areas. It isn’t rooted in racism. It is rooted in wanting their kids to have better opportunities than they did.
Many of these people were forced into Obamacare, and don’t want/need/can’t afford it. As soon as the announcements that rates were going to double for some people, I knew Trump would win. He said he would repeal and replace it and that was enough for many of these people. They voted with their wallets. Rural…
When only one side engages people, that side can tell whatever story they want.
You’ve done a great job here pointing out a phenomenon known as “point-and-laugh liberalism.” Maybe if the Democrats adopted the a policy of unconditional respect, one that was advocated by... what’s his name.... the old white guy from Vermont, we wouldn’t be staring at this goddamn travesty. These people are…
“You’re a racist if you voted for Trump”
“It can be hard to put your finger on exactly what you fear most about the rise of Donald Trump: the racism? The sexism? The xenophobia? The profoundly dangerous lack of judgment?”
Eh....I think this is only an issue because oversensitive liberal white folk who can’t use those words don’t understand using words like that to make jokes about yourself or just saying the words in general without censoring ourselves because we can. Remember all the clutched pearls over the president saying ‘nigger’?…
Then why do you continue to live? Are you a madman?
What I wish I could say to each:
I routinely park my filthy aircooled stuff and my 3.0 liter TDirty in Clean Vehicle spaces. I feel no humiliation and in fact I get kind of a bang out of it so I guess I may owe VW some cash.
I don’t get why people feel they are entitled to cash on top, they are entitled to be made whole for the damages. But the goal of litigation like this isn’t to MAKE you any money. This is actually one of the best examples of sensible litigation against a company and how it should work all the time.
But we cannot rule out the possibility of a racist response from the flight crew. At this point we have one person’s story, only.
I’ll wait for further, corroborating information before jumping to judgement here. Bad decisions are not limited to airlines (who do stupid things), and bloggers occasionally manufacture outrage.
