I’m pretty sure most white people were baffled/astounded/weirded-out by Rachel Doziel’s claims, and kinda think she’s a nut-job. Sure, you’ll always have some fringe hippie groups making apologies for everyone, but they are/were a very small minority on the Doziel situation.

Great post. Every autumn we hear the same story on almost every college football and basketball broadcast. While communities of color certainly face challenges, “The Streets” aren’t exactly the #1 fallback option for those who can’t play ball. The media just loves that storyline, though, and runs with it every chance…
