A friend of mine had a turbocharged DC2 Integra GS-R that I definitely should have died in a few times in High School. Mostly the circumstance (driver) as opposed to the car that scared me I suppose.
I discovered a few plastic covers on my Brother in laws new to him Mercedes.
Definitely, after further inspection it takes a few thousand more than the $7,000 budget listed to get a more desirable one.
There might be better options (though it does meet every requirement), but a ridiculously cheap Fiesta ST could be fun.
It will definitely be inadequate in hard driving (but like you said, much better than nothing). The Fiesta ST’s just seems to be a good way to heat soak your oil with overly hot coolant or vice versa, however I’ve always chalked this up to the ST’s woefully ill equipped cooling system.
It’s definitely the oil filter, however the cooler is below the filter. If it’s anything like my Fiesta ST or the WRX as mentioned it’s a sandwich plate that acts as a water to oil cooler that the filter is mounted on. Though I would have assumed the previous generation had one, but I’m probably mistaken.
Good! I was hoping it would come off as light hearted as intended.
